Dr. Gray was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. Working and volunteering in veterinary clinics through high school and college, she has always had a passion for animals.

She received a B.S. degree in wildlife and fisheries management from Ohio State University and continued in that field, earning a M.S. degree in fisheries science from Louisiana State University.

After moving to Louisiana, Dr. Gray began volunteering with local small animal rescues. She quickly decided to focus her career back to veterinary medicine, applying to veterinary school while finishing her Master’s degree.

Dr. Gray graduated with a DVM from Louisiana State University in 2015. She is interested in all aspects of small animal medicine, particularly internal medicine and rehabilitation.

With her husband, Jacob, she moved to Idaho shortly after graduating to experience all the outdoor adventures Idaho has to offer. Jacob and Melissa live with their 3 dogs, 1 cat, and many chickens in Rigby.
